SEEDS Trust, from India, is another of our network members.
We supported the planting of 180 trees in their projects, as part of our final funding round of 2022, and they’ve shared photos of a community planting action this May. A total of 300 native trees, including our sponsored ones, were planted by volunteers in Sukkampatty village Panchayat, Tamil Nadu state.
SEEDS combines conservation with the promotion of community self-reliance. Their efforts cover mangrove and native forest restoration, Agro-forestry, and the recovery of the Slender Loris habitat – a rather cute but endangered species native to India.
If you like SEEDS work (or even just the Loris!), consider supporting them!
