Together with a group of students, we will plant 50 native trees and hedge plants at a special farm near Baden, in Canton Aargau.

Restoration, Switzerland

The location:

We’re going to the Farm!

To close our Spring planting season, we will have a special event with 70 students and teachers from the Inter-Community School, in Zurich.

We will be at the Glück-Hof, a special farm near Baden that is focused on regenerative agriculture based on the principles of permaculture and community-supported agriculture. There, the students will have the opportunity to see and understand how such a farm works, and how this relates to the future of food productions systems and the topics of climate change, diet and food security.

For the hands-on work, we will plant a mix of 50 native trees and large bushes along a 250m stretch. The goal is to create an hedge that will provide shelter, living space and food for local wildlife. In Fall, a follow-up planting will add smaller plants to create multiple layers on the hedge.

As the owner of the property, the Glück-Hof will remain responsible for maintaining the new plants.
